How it Works

Getting Treatment is Easy

Whether you're wanting to come in as a self-referral or you're referred from your healthcare provider, our goal is for a seamless process to get you back to normal living.

Assessment

01

Start with a secure assessment through our partner, VistaPark Rx. They review your medical history, labs, and medications to ensure safe, appropriate treatment.

Treatment Planning

02

It's not just about your infusion. The pharmacists assess and manage iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia, tailoring treatment to your specific medical profile.

Professional Infusion

03

Come in for your iron infusion administered by our registered nurses in your own comfortable private room with light refreshments and entertainment available.

Ongoing
Iron Management

04

Your iron levels are actively assessed and managed to help streamline access to effective treatment and support optimal outcomes.

Iron infusions deliver iron directly into your bloodstream through an IV. They may be recommended when oral iron isn't effective, isn't well tolerated, or when iron needs to be replenished more quickly.

Iron Deficiency Treatment & Management

Tailored to your medical history and long-term health needs, understand what's going on with your levels and how to manage in and away from the clinic.

Blood Health & IV Treatment Management

Other blood health and IV therapies required? No need to travel. The team monitors, coordinates, manages, and administers the use of other IV therapies.

Questions about iron infusions?

Find answers to help you feel informed and comfortable before your visit.

  • Not at all! If you are experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness, brain fog, hair loss, or restless legs, head to our partner page (VistaPark Rx) to get an iron assessment done. Once your answers are submitted, a team member will reach out with next steps.

  • Once we receive a referral, our team takes care of the rest. We will contact you directly to review your health history, answer questions, check your medication coverage, and schedule your appointment at a time that works for you.

We'll coordinate with our partner pharmacy to prepare and deliver your medication to the clinic in advance, so everything is ready for your visit. Just come in for your appointment once you're booked in!

  • IV infusions are generally safe though every body is different. The team will review any potential risks with you with monitoring done during and post infusion.

  • Infusion services provided at private clinics are not covered by Alberta Health, so an infusion service fee applies for the administration and monitoring of your treatment.

Your medication is often covered through private drug insurance plans, employee health benefits, or in some cases government or public drug programs, depending on the medication and  eligibility.

The team will review your coverage, check eligibility, and coordinate with your insurance provider or patient support program when applicable. They'll also help with completing any required forms or paperwork to help ensure you receive the maximum coverage available and minimize out-of-pocket costs.

You will receive a detailed receipt for infusion services, which may be eligible for reimbursement through certain private health benefit plans.

  • Pre-payment secures your spot and helps prevent no-shows protecting staff and patient times. It also allows our infusion team to stay fully focused on your treatment during the appointment, for your safety and comfort.

  • We partner with VistaPark Rx Pharmacy to deliver safe, coordinated infusion care. Their team ensures timely, secure delivery of infused and specialty medications to maintain drug integrity and provides expert support for complex therapies, including insurance navigation.

All infusion bookings are managed through the pharmacy's central booking line, offering a simple, streamlined process handled in one call.

Each pharmacy team member holds advanced certifications, reflecting a strong foundation in clinical excellence. They work closely with specialists and primary care prescribers and are recognized for their clinical expertise and commitment to the highest standards of patient care.

  • We understand that life happens and sometimes you may need to change or cancel an appointment. Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer the time to another patient.

No-shows and appointments cancelled less than 24 hours may be subject to an administration fee.

If you arrive late and we are unable to complete your appointment without affecting the next patient, your appointment may be rescheduled at no additional charge. This helps us run smoothly and provide timely care for everyone.

We also recognize that unavoidable circumstances can occur and special consideration may be given when needed. Please contact us with any questions.
